Born in Kyoto, Japan. After graduating from university, he began working for a foreign advertising agency before moving to the U.S. to become a film director.
He completed his studies at the City College of New York Graduate School in filmmaking, where he began to make short films.
After winning awards at numerous film festivals for his short films, he directed his first feature film “Lost & Found,” which won the Grand Prix at the Austin Film Festival.
He is currently involved in a wide range of productions from films, commercials, music videos to documentaries. He also utilizes his English skills and overseas experience by assisting and producing Japanese shoots for foreign production companies.

He has been an avid fan of reggae music since he was a student. His nickname, “Bob,” comes from the reggae god, Bob Marley, which he was often compared to during his school years due to his long hair.
Recently, he has been into working out and enjoys going to the gym and running.
